THE PERFECT INDONESIAN LIVEABOARD BOAT FOR ECO-CONSCIOUS TRAVELERS
Our-27 meter Indonesian wooden liveaboard yacht, the Bugis, has been built and designed for sustainability and her guests’ utmost comfort, safety, and fun. She is equipped with 4 sizable cabins, accommodating up to 8 guests, perfect for a small group of friends and family! With a crew of 9 which is more than a 1:1 guest-to-crew ratio, you are guaranteed a top notch service while aboard the Bugis.
We will be exploring Indonesia’s top cruise destinations, from the renowned Komodo Islands, the remote and untouched Flores Sea and Wakatobi National Park, and the lesser known Banggai Archipelago–home to the Bajau people a.k.a "Sea Nomads".
Hop aboard the Bugis and prepare yourself for an adventure of a lifetime!
SPACIOUS SOCIAL AREAS WITH PANORAMIC VIEWS
On the main deck, we have a shaded "wall-less" 30 sqm social/dining area where guests can relax, dine, drink, play board games, and more.
On the upper deck, you will find a semi-covered 45 sqm area equipped with a bar and an open area with ample space to do yoga, relax, sunbathe, or even party at night. You name it!
LOW CARBON, LESS GENERATOR, LESS NOISE
We strive to keep our carbon and ecological footprint as low as possible by using solar powered electricity as much as we can when the boat is not navigating.
We'll only turn on the generator when needed so expect a serene ambiance aboard, peaceful sunset drinks, and quiet nights with the sounds of crashing waves to the hull. Check out Our Concept page to learn more about our commitment to sustainability.
DELECTABLE LOCALLY SOURCED FOOD
Instead of having a fixed meal plan each day, we’ll go to the nearest local market to handpick each meal's ingredients. We won’t have any imported meat on board
The cuisine will be a fusion of Indonesian and Western dishes, served on the table daily to satisfy your 5 senses, prepared by our professionally trained local chef
WHY WE OPTED FOR NON AIR CONDITIONED CABINS?
Our 4 cabins on the Bugis are located on the main deck, not below deck. The sea breeze keeps the median temperature on board approximately 3 degrees Celsius cooler than on land. Our Boat's acrhitectural concept prioritizes open areas, allowing guests to connect with the elements. Air-conditioned cabins, in contrast to fan-cooled ones, require quilts, closed doors, and windows, which we find unusual for enjoying the tropics.
Additionally, air-conditioners rely on the freon gas and extra fuel from the generator, contracting our commitment to the environment.
Here are some of the activities that are available on our liveaboard. We do things differently here at Nomad so check out more details on our Activities page.
If you have a specific activity or amenity in mind, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Bugis liveaboard has 4 identical cabins in total. Each cabin can accommodate 2 guests, either sharing a double bed or utilizing the upper berth. The upper berth is also suitable for a child traveling with family members.
Please note that the Bugis does not have any air conditioning onboard. Our cabins however are very well-insulated and designed to get plenty of natural light and cooling from its large window.
