Raja Ampat Liveaboard Trip Overview
From a little known backwater place twenty years ago, the Raja Ampat archipelago – hundreds of jungle-clad islands spread over 8,000 square kilometers of warm seas - has since shot up to world recognition as one of the most amazing National Park in Indonesia. And for good reason.
Home to the world’s most biodiverse coral reefs with more than 1,400 fish species, many would agree that snorkeling and scuba diving in Raja Ampat is second to none; with water temperature at 28 to 30 degrees Celsius year-round, this is a perfect underwater paradise.
Above the water, the hundreds of karst pinacles and the many secluded beaches make for truly stunning vistas. .Larger islands are home to unique fauna and flora. Wake up every morning to a new and enchanting scenery.

EXPERIENCE WORLD-CLASS SCUBA DIVING AND SNORKELING
Being at the center of the coral triangle, Raja Ampat is home to 72% of the world’s recorded coral species and countless fish species.
Jump into the water and you enter a world of kaleidoscopic beauty probably unequaled on land. Colors everywhere, movements everywhere, slow or fast, fish of every size and hue, a spectacle no one ever tires of.
Whether snorkeling in a few meters of water or diving to greater depth, this will be our main activity during our cruise in the Raja Ampat.
SWIM WITH MANTA RAYS
Did you ever swim with manta rays? If not, this will be an experience you will remember all your life.
It’s amazing how close you can swim next to these majestic creatures. Sometimes they come close to you too, only to change course at the last moment, in one of the most graceful ballet of the animal kingdom.
LOOK FOR THE ELUSIVE BIRD OF PARADISE
Over 44 species of birds of paradise live in the lush forest of west Papua. During our Raja Ampat trip, we will be looking for the Wilson’s bird of paradise
Our search for this gorgeous bird will take place in a village in Central Raja Ampat.
Going there will require waking up early and hiking for a while in the dark, which will be an awesome experience in itself!
Sulfur-crested cockatoos, large horn bils, and colorful parrots are also regularly seen, even in the trees by the shore.
STUNNING SCENERIES
Rain, wind and the relentless action of the sea have sculpted the islands of Raja Ampat into remarkable forms and shapes that are a feast for the eyes, wherever one looks. liveaboard trip.
Jagged rocks, secluded beaches, narrow channels, hidden coves, green lagoons, lush forests, thick mangrove, blue streams, the Raja Ampat islands are a natural wonderland.
Hikes will be organized, including to the top of a karst pinnacle; more often, we will ride with our zodiac for a close-up look at these amazing land features.
DINE, DRINK AND RELAX AT THE BEACH
Your Raja Ampat boat charter or liveaboard trip won’t be complete without discovering Raja Ampat’s idyllic beaches.
Each day, we will spend some time on beaches with swaying coconut trees and luxuriant vegetation behind.
Swimming, kayaking in the vicinity, feasting on fresh fish, and enjoying cold cocktails and beers at sunset will certainly be a daily occurrence.
HAVING FUN WHILE ON BOARD
Enjoy the life on board and around the boat.
We carry 2 kayaks for you to enjoy the surroundings of our anchorage as well as a paddle board and a surf board. Yoga mats are also at your disposal.
We will bring you occasionally for volleyball game with the locals or our crew, an exhilarating experience.
In the evening, you can enjoy chess, scrabble, backgammon and other games.

HOW TO GET TO RAJA AMPAT
Most of our Raja Ampat liveaboard trips will begin and end in Sorong. The local airport is Sorong airport (SOQ) which can be reached by flying internationally to Jakarta (CGK) or Manado (MDC) followed by a direct flight to Sorong.
From Bali, Sorong is served daily via Makassar. Please ask us for flight recommendations.
BEST TIME TO VISIT RAJA AMPAT
October to April is considered the best time of year to visit Raja Ampat as due to its dryer weather and calmer wind. This is especially true for scuba divers as many manta rays are present in the northern part of the archipelago. Misool in South Raja Ampat is also closed due to the harsh weather from July to August.
However, the rest of Raja Ampat remains accessible and pleasant year-round.
RAJA AMPAT WEATHER
The average air temperatures in Raja Ampat is relatively stable year round at a maximum of 32ºC (91ºF) during the day and 25ºC (78ºF) minimum at night. Note however that the area has a high humidity level and can feel hotter at times. The sea temperature hovers between between 28ºC (82ºF) and 29ºC (84ºF) year-round.

Local Currency: Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)
Language: Bahasa Indonesia. English is usually spoken at most establishments that cater to tourists.
Credit Card & ATMs: Most establishments that cater to international tourists do accept credit and debit card payments, although bringing a good amount of cash just in case is always recommended. There are a number of ATMs available at most major airports in Indonesia.
Electricity: The onboard electricity system is 220V, with standard European plugs and 2 round pins Please bring your own universal plug adaptor.
Bring a copy of your travel documents such as your passport, air ticket, and travel insurance.
COVID-19: proof of complete vaccination is required to enter Indonesia. For the latest information please visit the official Indonesian Immigration Website or consult the Indonesian embassy in your home country.
