OVERVIEW

Raja Ampat Liveaboard Trip Overview

From a little known backwater place twenty years ago, the Raja Ampat archipelago – hundreds of jungle-clad islands spread over 8,000 square kilometers of warm seas - has since shot up to world recognition as one of the most amazing National Park in Indonesia. And for good reason.

Home to the world’s most biodiverse coral reefs with more than 1,400 fish species, many would agree that snorkeling and scuba diving in Raja Ampat is second to none; with water temperature  at 28 to 30 degrees Celsius year-round, this is a perfect underwater paradise.

Above the water, the hundreds of karst pinacles and the many secluded beaches make for truly stunning vistas. .Larger islands are home to unique fauna and flora. Wake up every morning  to a new and enchanting scenery.

Our Indonesian vessel the Bugis will be cruising Raja Ampat  from December to March.

EXPERIENCE WORLD-CLASS SCUBA DIVING AND SNORKELING

Being at the center of the coral triangle, Raja Ampat is home to 72% of the world’s recorded coral species and countless fish species.

Jump into the water and you enter a world of kaleidoscopic beauty probably unequaled on land. Colors everywhere, movements everywhere, slow or fast, fish of every size and hue, a spectacle no one ever tires of.

Whether snorkeling in a few meters of water or diving to greater depth, this will be our main activity during our cruise in the Raja Ampat.

SWIM WITH MANTA RAYS

Did you ever swim with manta rays? If not, this will be an experience you will remember all your life.

It’s amazing how close you can swim next to these majestic creatures. Sometimes they come close to you too, only to change course at the last moment,  in one of the most graceful ballet of the animal kingdom.

LOOK FOR THE ELUSIVE BIRD OF PARADISE

Over 44 species of birds of paradise live in the lush forest of west Papua. During our Raja Ampat trip, we will be looking for the Wilson’s bird of paradise

Our search for this gorgeous bird will take place in a village in Central Raja Ampat.

Going there will require waking up early and hiking for a while in the dark, which will be an awesome experience in itself!

Sulfur-crested cockatoos, large horn bils, and colorful parrots are also regularly seen, even in the trees by the shore.

STUNNING SCENERIES

Rain, wind and the relentless action of the sea have sculpted the islands of Raja Ampat into remarkable forms and shapes that are a feast for the eyes, wherever one looks. liveaboard trip.

Jagged rocks, secluded beaches, narrow channels, hidden coves, green lagoons, lush forests, thick mangrove, blue streams, the Raja Ampat islands are a natural wonderland.

Hikes will be organized, including to the top of a karst pinnacle; more often, we will ride with our zodiac for a close-up look at these amazing land features.

DINE, DRINK AND RELAX AT THE BEACH

Your Raja Ampat boat charter or liveaboard trip won’t be complete without discovering Raja Ampat’s idyllic beaches.
